Cystic Fibrosis Charity Car Lands End to John 'O' Groats
Lands End to John 'O Groats charity run made possible through our Welders and Mechanics
Carl Beazealy and Peter Bevington came to us back in the spring of 2015. They needed some help to rebuild "Alanis" so that they could raise money for Nykki CPeter's daughter who suffered from Cystic Fybrosis. Initially the company offered chassis panels and a voucher for spare parts. But on hearing of the event Paul Bidgood and Ethan Leonard took it upon themselves to do the welding for free and in their own time using the centres facitities and parts. Chris Wiltshire, our head of the mechanical department then offered to do the brakes and suspension so that the car was rolling and safe.
After a few months and over 80 hours of work the car was finally ready to be picked up by Carl and Peter. Who took it home where they continued to work on Alanis until the summer of 2017. Atfer this labour of love they successfully travelled up the country in July of 2017 raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, The Cancer Trust and Cystic Fybrosis.
